Selfie Mirror Hire Terms and Conditions

DJC Events will provide a Selfie Mirror for your event according to the following terms and conditions.

Booking, Deposit and Payment

  1. To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit of €50 must be paid 6 months before the event.
  2. The full balance will become payable 5 days before the date, on the night of the event or within 5 days after the event.
  3. Bank transfer is the preferred method of payment and we will send you our bank details to facilitate this.
  4. We can also accept payment of the final balance in cash. No Paypal or Revolut payments, please
  5. Prices for Public Holidays are available upon enquiry and are subject to change or increase. Easter, Christmas, New years etc.
  6. Advertised prices and packages are subject to change without prior notification.

Hire Time

  1. Your Selfie Mirror will be made available for the hire time you have booked based on the actual  time booked at the venue, excluding set-up and breakdown.
  2. We will arrive 1 hour before the hire time starts to set up and leave within 1 hour after the hire ends.
  3. If we are not ready to start at the agreed time due to our fault, we will still operate the Selfie Mirror for the agreed hire time by extending the finishing time (venue permitting).
  4. If the hire does not start at the agreed time, as setup has been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances that are not our fault, then the hire will still end at the time booked. Example: Hire time 8pm but can’t set up in hotel room till after 9pm or no space organised for us in advance., the hire time still begins at 8pm
  5. If we have set up on time but the hire does not start at the agreed time due to over running of previous activities, the hire will still end as per the agreed time on the booking.
  6. Additional hours can be purchased on the night for €50 per half hour to be paid in cash on the night.
  7. Once set up is complete and the selfie mirror is open for activity, the agreed usage time begins regardless of dinner or other activities running overtime. Hire time is not from when the first picture is taken. There is a timer set on the mirror and once the timer begins the mirror is open for activity. When the timer ends ( agreed usage time ) the mirror will shutdown.


Guests may use the Selfie Mirror as many times as they would like within the hire period.

  1. The copyright of all images will remain with DJC Events and by accepting these terms and conditions you are granting us the right to use any images taken at an event for marketing and promotional activities involving both digital, web and printed material.
  2. We will endeavour to provide the supplies and equipment ordered, but the Selfie Mirror operator reserves the right to substitute supplies or equipment at any time should there be a need.
  3. We accept no responsibility for any loss or disappointment resulting from any printing failure or defective or imperfect prints resulting from circumstances outside of our control.

Selfie Mirror Set Up

  1. It usually takes an hour to set the Selfie Mirror up and then an hour to break it down.
  2. Please inform us of any circumstances that would make setting the Selfie Mirror up more demanding, such as stairs, long distances from unloading areas, set-up areas blocked by tables etc.
  3. We allocate 1 hour to set the Selfie Mirror up and take it down, which is included in the package price.
  4. If any complications lead to a longer setup and breakdown time then this will come out of the run time.
  5. The equipment will be set up in one location only as agreed on arrival and will not be moved once set up.
  6. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that the venue will accept the use of the Selfie Mirror on their premises.
  7. Any specific criteria that the venue requires must be made known to us at least 30 days before the event date.
  8. The hirer will arrange for sufficient space to be provided in positioning the Selfie Mirror to allow safe use of the equipment by the operator and guests.
  9. The hirer will arrange for the photo booth’s final position to be close to an electrical socket of 220-240v fitted with a 13amp trip.
  10. The photo booth draws 600 watts.

Damage to The Selfie Mirror, Equipment and Props

  1. The hirer will be liable for all costs, expenses and losses incurred by DJC Events Selfie Mirror as a result of any damage to the Selfie Mirror or other hired equipment caused by the hirer or the hirer’s guests.
  2. Props are provided for the entertainment of the guests and as an accessory item during the hire session and remain the property of DJC Events Selfie Mirror. If these are taken from the selfie mirror area and not returned the hirer will be responsible and will be charged.
  3. The hirer will be responsible for any loss resulting from theft or damage to the props during a hire session.
  4. Props must not leave the Selfie Mirror location, they must not be brought to tables or on the dancefloor or taken out of the room. For any props removed and then damaged / not returned the hirer will need to incur the cost of the props taken or damaged.
  5. We will take every effort to prevent the loss or damage to your guest book created during an event, however, we will not be held responsible for any damage caused by guest behaviour.
  6. We accept no liability for any damage to or loss of personal property arising from the use of the hired equipment.
  7. We will not be liable for any personal injury resulting from the use of the hired equipment unless caused by negligence on our part or the part of a person for whose actions are legally responsible.

Guest Behaviour

  1. The hirer is responsible for ensuring that suitable security and crowd control measures are in place before the start of the event.
  2. Whilst we encourage the fun use of the Selfie Mirror, if we feel that the Selfie Mirror is not being treated respectfully we will ask the guest(s) to leave the Selfie Mirror area.
  3. We will not accept any threatening or abusive behaviour and if this occurs we will stop the use of the Selfie Mirror and dismantle the equipment without a refund.
  4. No food or drinks are allowed around the Selfie Mirror.
  5. Children must be supervised at all times at the mirror no exceptions. The props provided are not to be removed from the Selfie Mirror area by children. Any props that are removed, damaged, taken and not returned to the hirer will incur costs after the event and we reserve the right to suspend the selfie mirror activity until props are returned

Technical Issues / Failure to Supply

  1. In the unlikely event of a technical problem with the Selfie Mirror or events beyond our control a refund will be given pro rata for any time lost.
  2. The operator cannot be held responsible for any failure to provide a service of supplies or equipment if the operator has no control over the circumstances which may withhold all or part of the supply.
  3. These may include but are not limited to traffic delays, severe weather conditions, breakdown of our vehicles, sickness, equipment failure or delay in operating the unit for any other reason outside of our control.
  4. If we cannot attend or fulfil your hire due to events beyond our control we will contact you or the venue as soon as possible.
  5. In these instances, our liability will be limited to a refund of all the monies paid.
  6. Failure to supply due to the venue or client issues will not result in a refund.

Our Liability

  1. We accept no liability for any damage to or loss of personal property arising from the use of the hired equipment.
  2. We will not be liable for any personal injury resulting from the use of the hired equipment unless caused by negligence on our part or the part of a person for whose actions are legally responsible.
  3. We will not be liable under any circumstances for any indirect, consequential or special loss or damage.
  4. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights which cannot be excluded or limited by law.

Booking Cancellations

We understand that your circumstances can change but we would ask for as much notice as possible if you need to cancel your booking.

The €50 booking deposit is non-refundable in all cases and any cancellations will be subject to the following cancellation charges:

  1. Within 4 weeks before the event date – 50% of the final balance
  2. Within 2 weeks before the event date – 100% of the final balance

Acceptance of Terms And Conditions

The hirer agrees that in providing the payment of at least a deposit, the hirer accepts these terms and conditions.
